Ways to Pack Kitchen before moving to a new home

Along with the other tasks, packing can be tiresome and complicated. Therefore, you should always be sure about each task before implementing anything. Local Moving Company in Bethesda suggests early planning will save you on a moving day. The kitchen indeed holds too many delicate things that need to be packed carefully for protection.

To pack small appliances

You will need:

  • Small or medium-sized boxes
  • Tape
  • Newsprint
  • Bubble wrap (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Start with cleaning, drying, and dismantling the appliances.
  2. Arrange the crates by tapping the base and adding some casually crumpled newsprint.
  3. With the help of large papers, wrap the appliances and tape them to make sure these will stay sealed well.
  4. As suitable, use bubble wrap along with the newsprint to cover fragile items.
  5. Arrange the appliance and accessories in the carton.
  6. Use crushed paper to fill up blank space.
  7. In the last, tape and label the box.

TO PACK PLATES

You will need:

  • Small or medium-sized boxes
  • Large sheets of bubble wrap
  • Newsprint
  • Tape
  • Optional: packaging peanuts

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Fasten double-tape at the bottom of your crates.
  2. Put the bubble wrap on each side of the crate.
  3. After that, insert a large piece of newsprint on your packing surface.
  4. Put the individual plate in the middle of the newsprint and cover the surface with the bubble wrap.
  5. Follow this procedure with all the plates.
  6. Finally, fill the space with newsprint or packing peanuts and close the box with tape.
  7. After that, don’t forget to label the boxes.

TO PACK POTS & PANS

You will need:

  • Large boxes
  • Newsprint
  • Padding (newsprint, shredded paper, or packaging peanuts)
  • Tape

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Take a large box and prepare it by fastening the bottom
  2. In the bottom of the box, set a two-inch layer of gently crumpled newsprint, or you can use packaging peanuts.
  3. You can put the small and medium pots into the large-sized pot.
  4. Set the pots and pans on a large piece of newsprint and wrap them up. Now seal them with the tape.
  5. Put the nested pots in the box and seal it using the tape.

  • Wrap each and every glass with tissue paper and smoothly stuff crumpled tissue paper inside the glass.
  • Wrap the glasses again more tightly with the packing paper.
  • Put every glass separately and fill the blank space with tissue paper.
